HOME TO SCHOOL

AUGUST 14TH, 2012 - GREETINGS FROM SAN FRANCISCO

Having woken up the next day to my second 21st birthday on the second August 14th I experienced, I had a plan for the first week - to explore my new home city - exploring San Francisco. This week was well and truly packed as I became acquainted with and was reconnected with the city I left thinking so fondly of back in 2007. The journey had well and truly come full circle. By air (helicopter), by cable car, from the top of twin peaks, to riding on San Francisco bay, catching glimpses of the city from high and low, I well and truly had a great opportunity to see so much of San Francisco. Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Bay Bridge, Twin Peaks, Alamo Square, Union Square and the list goes on. This was a roller coaster of a week as I saw so many of the cities icons but also seeing new places, meeting many new San Franciscans as well as being immersed in the culture of the city from food to baseball and everything in between.
