THE COMPLETE JOURNEY FROM SYDNEY TO SAN FRANCISCO
During this first week, having no car in San Francisco, I was left to my own devices to find my way around this wonderful city. For it to be truly accessible to me, I had to navigate and way find my way around the city which involved learning and the use of transportation here in the city. Within the first week, I had traveled by taxi, helicopter, boat/ferry, cable car and of course the MUNI system on both trains and buses. At first, being totally unfamiliar with the stations, the learning experience of understanding and navigating the various systems was difficult but after just a few short trips I became familiar and very comfortable with finding my way around the city. My very first trip on the MUNI train was in fact the journey out to my new school at San Francisco State which involved travelling from Downtown at Market Street out to 19th and Holloway. Slowly, I was beginning to learn more about navigating the city ending up at SFSU.
